Ms Westlake and Mrs Brophy are two of our school Governors who work very hard on a voluntary basis for the school. Ms Westlake supports the Breakfast Club every day and Mrs Brophy supports office tasks.
The school has an open door policy and encourages parents to come and talk to staff about any issues. However, sometimes parents may need to talk to someone who knows Swalwell Community well and someone who has direct links with the school.
Ms Westlake and Mrs Brophy will soon be organising a friendly coffee afternoon at school, which if successful, will be offered once a month. This will give parents/carers the opportunity to inform Governors about the school, in a relaxed atmosphere. The school is hoping to provide a creche, whilst parents have a drink and a chat.
