This week in Year 5, we have been learning about Lord Armstrong and his famous Swing Bridge. We discovered why the bridge was so important to Newcastle and explored the ingenious engineering behind its design. Inspired by his work, we even had a go at designing our own moving bridges. What fantastic young engineers we have in Year 5!
