Time to celebrate! - Apr 5, 2019
Today, Swalwell Primary School was presented with two awards by Mr Sweeney and Mrs Thompson – the ‘Happy Healthy Inclusive Award’ and ‘The Inclusion Award’.
Mr Sweeney announced in celebration assembly that Swalwell Primary School is the very first school in the country to receive the Happy Healthy Inclusive Award. Mrs Thompson commented that Swalwell Primary School is one of the most inclusive schools she has visited and praised all children and staff for celebrating and welcoming different people of all skin colours, religions and special educational needs.
A big Well Done to staff and pupils keep up the good work! Also a special thank you to Mrs Waugh and Mrs Taylor for all of the hard work they have put in to enable the school to secure both awards.
Staff will be working hard on securing the Gold Inclusion Award next and the Ikenga Healthy School award.
