Working together, learning together

Welcome

Year 3 Home Learning 26.3.2020

Hello Year 3,

Hope you’re all well and had fun making your story maps yesterday and playing the multiplication games. These are the activities I’d like you to do today.

English: Add adverbs to the story map that you drew yesterday and then write three sentences using adverbs to start. e.g. Elegantly, Humpty flew across the sky feeling the wind beneath his wings.

Maths: Create all of the 3 digit numbers you can, only using the digits 4, 2 and 7. e.g. you can make 427. You should be able to make 6 different numbers.  Choose two of the numbers you have made and use column addition to add them together then choose two of the numbers and use column subtraction to take away.

Challenge 1: Order the numbers from smallest to largest.
Challenge 2: What is the highest amount you can make from adding the 3 digit numbers together? What is the smallest amount you can make by subtracting the 3 digit numbers?

Science: Log onto PurpleMash and complete the 2do activity ‘Forces in Action’. You need to select a picture and add the forces arrows to show which forces are acting. Remember, the bigger the arrow, the more powerful the force.

Have a lovely day!
