Working together, learning together

Welcome

Another Busy Week in Key Stage 1!

We have had another wonderful week in Key Stage 1 this week. I am so proud of you all for trying your best in every lesson and making certain you are all keeping up with our hygiene rules.

We have had lots of fun in our learning this week. In Year 1 we have been working hard on securing our number knowledge to 10 and in Year 2 we have been working hard on our numbers to 100. In English we have continued to work hard on our story ‘I Want My Hat Back’ by Jon Klassen, exploring nouns and adjectives and building sentences with them. We even made our own hats during continuous provision time.  On Friday we participated in Jeans for Genes day and all came to school wearing our jeans before learning about the charity and why we fundraise for it.

We are very busy collecting lots of dojo points for all of our fantastic efforts and two girls were even awarded a bronze award certificate this week! Well done.

Here are some helpful reminders for the upcoming week:

  • Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. Children should come to school in their PE kit and their school jumper. Our PE kit includes black leggings, joggers or shorts, a white t-shirt and black trainers or plimsolls.
  • Children should bring a water bottle into school with them every day. I will pop their name on their bottle to make sure it stays safe.

Have a lovely weekend!

Miss Lawson
