Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have all had a busy week and have been keeping occupied and healthy.
Today as a special Friday treat you could bake a cake for the rest of your family. You can help to read the recipe, weigh out the ingredients and mix them all together. What happens when you mix the ingredients, do they stay the same or do they change? What about when you take the cake out of the oven does it still look the same as when you first put it in? Think about how all the ingredients look and feel and perhaps smell, what does your cake smell like, and more importantly taste like, once it has baked?
You could record the instructions and ingredients for making your cake in your home diary, the rest of your observations and then whether or not it tasted nice.
Don’t forget to help with the washing up afterwards – the person who does the most washing up gets to eat the most cake!
