Thursday was Holocaust Memorial Day. UKS2 took part in a live audience with the famous author, Michael Morpurgo, who was discussing the life of Judith Kerr.
Judith Kerr wrote some of our favourite stories in school: Mog, the Forgetful Cat and The Tiger who Came to Tea. Judith was Jewish and was born in Germany. Her father was a famous journalist and criticised Adolf Hitler, as a result they had to flee Germany. Eventually, she and her family managed to arrive in Britain.
Year 6 created comic strips retelling her life story.
