Working together, learning together

Welcome

Hard at work in Key Stage 1

Miss Lawson has been blown away by how hard we have all worked in Key Stage 1 this week!

In Maths, we have been learning all about comparing numbers. Some of us were even able to compare numbers all the way up to 100! We were able to look at the value of each digit to help us compare. Throughout the week, we were introduced to a range of new vocabulary. I wonder if any children can remember some of our new words and tell them to their adults?

We have had so much fun in our Art lessons. We set off on a scavenger hunt around our school grounds to find some natural materials such as leaves and twigs. We then made some fantastic rubbings from our natural findings and we spent some time discussing the different textures that were created.

In our Music lessons, we have been learning all about pitch and making higher and lower noises with our voices. Some of us were making some very funny noises we wouldn't usually make! I wonder if any children would be able to explain to their adult what the word 'pitch' means?
