English: We would be starting a new book in English this half term. Have a look at the front cover below and click on the picture to see it full size. Can you make a prediction about what you think this story will be about. Who do you think the characters are? What might happen in the story? Remember to use clues from the picture and your own knowledge and use ‘because’ to explain why you think this.

Topic: This term we are going to be starting a brand new topic – Ancient Egypt! Today, I would like you to start with a little bit of research to find out:
- Where is Egypt? Which continent is it in?
- What is the capital city of Egypt?
- What is the name of the river that flows through Egypt?
- What is the weather like in Egypt today?
- Write some questions of your own that you would like to answer over the topic.
