Welcome Back To Year 5!
Happy Friday everyone!
We have had a fantastic week back in Year 5 and have loved seeing everyone in school on time and in full uniform. Mrs Hall and I are so proud of how quickly the children have adapted to new routines and rules in school. Their mature attitudes have allowed all of the children to complete fantastic work in their lessons.
In English this half term, we are reading Danny the Champion of the World and have been looking closely at the characters and their personalities. I have been very impressed with the children’s vocabulary choices in their writing! I have also been very pleased to see some fantastic handwriting in books.
We have spent a lot of time this week reflecting on the past 6 months and discussing the different emotions we have felt throughout. It has been lovely to listen to the children having respectful discussions about their feelings.
Each Friday, I will give you some questions to encourage your children to share their school experiences.
Questions you might want to ask your child this week:
- What is different about school?
- What do you know about Danny’s Dad in the story?
- How does sound travel?
- What was your reward for 100% attendance?
We can’t wait to see you all next week and we are sure that you will continue to make us proud!
