Chocolate Rocks
Today, we continued to learn all about rocks. We created our own rocks using our knowledge of how different types of rock are formed to help us.
We used 3 different types of chocolate: white, milk and dark.
To begin with we used grated chocolate and pressed it down to show the layers of sedimentary rock.
Next, we used heat and pressure from our hands to change the appearance of the rocks, this wa the formation of metamorphic rock.
Our final rock type was igneous, for this we needed the extreme heat from the Earth's core (or boiling water) to melt the rock.
