Year 6 Home learning Week 1 Summer Term
Good morning everyone. I hope that you have all had a great Easter holiday although it will have been a little different this year!
A new term and a new topic World War 2!
English – I want you to write about your Easter holidays and compare them to what you have done in the past.
e.g. This year, I had an Easter egg hunt in my house usually I would go out somewhere and take part in an organised hunt.
Remember to use conjunctions when you can.
Maths – Can you complete some diagnostic questions work today? Focus on the shape questions that I’ve set. They will help you with your work this week.

This was the Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, declaring that we were at war with Germany.
Listen carefully, can you find out why we went to war, what date this happened, where was he giving his speech from and what time the speech happened.
