The Great Fire of Newcastle and Gateshead!
Key Stage 1 have been thoroughly enjoying investigating the Great Fire of Newcastle and Gateshead as part of their new history topic this half termš„.
Recently, we were lucky enough to receive visit from Richard, otherwise known as 'That History Bloke'. He taught us some very interesting facts about this local historical event. We investigated some old artefacts from the 1854 and followed clues to piece together the events which took place!
This week we worked together to record a script retelling the events and put on our acting shoes to create a fantastic re-enactment.
