Classifying animals
This week we looked at sorting animals into groups. Miss Mabon started our lesson by modelling different ways we might do this. There was a range of different animal cards and we then classified them into:
-Land and water animals
-Animals with a pattern and animals without
Then, we split off into groups and we sorted the animals ourselves. The Year 1 team were very impressed with the alternative ways we independently sorted animals. Some groups sorted them by:
-Big and small animals
- Animals with four legs and animals with two legs
-Animals with wings and no wings
