We Can!
This week in Key Stage One we have been working on our growth mindset. We have taken phrases such as “I can’t do it” and replaced them with “I will try my best” in class. We are working on our self confidence and progressing as independent learners. It was fantastic to see the children using what they had learned in class and applying them to different tasks, problem solving and supporting each other during continuous provision time. In Maths this week we have been working on addition and subtraction and considering how our number bond knowledge can help us. In English we have been working on completing our hat catalogue entries, using creative adjectives to describe. In Topic lessons we have been continuing our work on the Great Fire of London and thinking about how London changed as a result.
Well done for another super week Years 1 and 2!

A few key things to remember:
- Bring a water bottle every day to stay hydrated.
- Remember to bring a coat to school, it is getting cold on the playground!
- Return homework and reading books to school on a Tuesday.
- Our PE days are a Monday and a Thursday – don’t forget to come to school in your PE kit.
