Welcome

Let's Go Fly A Kite

Reception decided that it was such a windy day on Thursday that they would like to make kites. Firstly, we used the iPads to find out how to make a kite and then we discussed what materials we should use. We decided to use tissue paper, plastic, paper, and cellophane and see which worked best. This was turning into an investigation!

After carefully making our kites, we took them outside to try them out. The weather was perfect! It was quite tricky trying to make them fly but we soon discovered that running with them helped.

Finally, after spending time flying our kites, we came to the conclusion that the cellophane worked best and that the tissue paper ripped too easily. We'll be sure to keep this in mind the next time we decide to build our own kites.
