Fog on the Tyne!
Key Stage 1 had a fantastic day visiting the Baltic Flour Mill and the Discovery Museum today. We have been learning all about the River Tyne and the bridges which cross over it and were fascinated by their size in real life! At the Baltic we were given the chance to view the bridges before sketching from observation and even attempting to make our own bridges using only one piece of card each! We then moved onto the Discovery Museum where we explored the history of the River Tyne and the bridges. We then created our own bridges using different materials, testing which was most durable and strong.
