Orienteering Fun!
This week in PE we have started a new topic of orienteering. To get started with this we played lots of games relating to the compass points. Then we created our own obstacle courses and drew maps to help other teams to navigate them.
We also linked this to our Topic work this week where we used the compass points to describe the location of different New York Landmarks. We then used maps of New York City, including a subway map, to plan a day of activities. We really enjoyed this lesson and wished we could go to New York to enjoy the activities we had planned!
In Art this week, we created our own skyline pictures using water colours, card and oil pastels. We are really pleased with how they turned out!
