I hope that you all had lots of fun yesterday teaching your family all of our favourite songs.
Today I would like you to go on a phonics hunt. This is the letter S and it is code for s as in sun.
How many objects in your house and garden can you find that begin with s? Make a list of all of the objects that you find. If you want to you could just make a list of as many words that you can think of that begin with s.
Challenge time for Reception children – Can you make a list of words that include an s, but not at the beginning, for instance ‘list’. Which code for s do you need to use, is it s as in sun or s as in dress? Can you make some sentences that include your s words?
