Year 3 8.5.2020 VE Day!
Hi Year 3!
As today should be a very sunny bank holiday, I have not set you any maths and English work! I would just like you to have a lovely day spending time with your family!
Today is a very special Friday as it marks 75 years since World War 2 ended. We celebrate this day called VE day which stands for Victory in Europe which you should have learnt about yesterday. Decorate your house with the red, white and blue decorations you made yesterday and enjoy a picnic in the sunshine!
At 11:00am there will be a 2 minute silence to remember and respect those that fought in WW2 as well as our soldiers who continue to serve today.
This song was very popular during WW2, why not try singing it with your family!
