Good morning year 4!
Here is your work for today:
English – Here are some simple sentences. I’d like you to improve them using the skills we have been looking at this week.
Try using these skills:
Maths – Have a go at these questions and explain to an adult or sibling how you did them.
You will need to use your times table knowledge for some of them and short multiplication or division for others.
e.g. to solve 600 x 3. I know that 6 x 3 = 18. I need to make my answer 100 times bigger so my answer must be 1800.
Now try the challenge:
Always, sometimes, never – If I multiply a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number the answer will always have 3 digits.
Remember to provide at least 5 examples before you decide on an answer.
Art/DT – Last week I asked you to design your own Ancient Egyptian shaduf. This week, I would like you to try and build your shaduf and test it out to see if it works. There are some examples below. Don’t forget to ask an adult to post a photo of your completed shaduf on our school facebook page, or you can email me a photo on Purplemash.
Lastly, I thought I would remind you of the song we were learning before school closed in case you would like to continue learning it It is Miss Foster and I’s favourite!
Have a great day and a great half term!
Miss Grey
