Super Shapes
We have been exploring shapes in Reception this week. During our maths lessons we have been learning about the properties of different 2D shapes and considering how they are similar and different. We have been looking for shapes in the environment on a shape hunt. We found lots of squares, rectangles and circles but triangles were a little harder to find. We have used 2D shapes to make pictures of lots of things, such as rockets, houses, people and faces. We then thought about how 2D shapes relate to the 3D shapes that we were exploring last week. We used our 3D shapes to make prints and identified the 2D shapes that make up the 3D shapes faces.
