Becoming Independent Learners!
This week in Key Stage 1 we have been working very hard in Maths learning lots of different methods to help us become independent learners in. In year 2 we have looked at using base 10 and number lines to solve 2 digit addition and subtraction. In year 1 we have looked at using ten frames, Numicon and number bonds to help us solve addition and subtraction questions within 10.
In English we have been writing diary entries from the perspective of the lost alien, Beegu! We have learned all about writing in the first person and using emotive language to hook our readers in!
In RE we have began learning about Advent in the run up to Christmas and enjoyed making a class advent wreath.
Well done Key Stage 1 for lots of hard work.
