Welcome

Jack and the Beanstalk

We have had a very unusual visitor in Reception this week. On Monday we arrived at school to find some very large items of clothing hanging on our washing line. You might even call them giant! There were also some big footprints and a beanstalk growing in the classroom. Our story this week has been Jack and the Beanstalk and we decided that we thought the clothes and footprints belonged to the giant! In our mud kitchen we made some soup for the giant. He must have liked it because it was all gone the next morning. On Wednesday morning we found a note left inside our castle asking us to help the giant to grow a new beanstalk. There were also some plant pots and some magic beans! We are all very excited to see if our beans will grow into a beanstalk tall enough to climb up to the giants castle. The giant has also left us some of his gold coins as he said that he is finding it difficult to count them all and would like us to help.
