Year 1 Celebrate Chinese New Year!

 

To celebrate Chinese New Year on Tuesday afternoon we participated in lots of lovely activities.

We shared stories about the Great Race and learned that this year would be known as the Year of the Pig.

 

 

We then tucked into a delicious Chinese feast; our class favourite was the bowl of prawn crackers!

To finish our afternoon we read a special story and watched videos about Chinese dragons and dragon dancing. We decided to create our very own Chinese dragons using socks! We had great fun decorating them and sharing them out in assembly.
