Turning Back Time!
Key Stage 1 were greeted with a very exciting delivery recently during their history lesson. They couldn't believe it when Mrs Hocking arrived in our class with a box full of historical artefacts!
We put on their historian hats and came to the conclusion that it was a time capsule full of seaside holiday items from the past. The children enjoyed exploring each item and comparing them to more modern day options. We worked on asking and answering questions about the items and drawing sensible conclusions. We worked together to create a set of questions that we put into a questionnaire for our families to further our knowledge and understanding of seaside holidays in the past!
