Working together, learning together

Welcome

Year 4 Home Learning Thursday 23rd April

Good Morning everyone!

Here is your work for today:

English – We know that the Happy Prince stands high above his city so that he can see everything going on below. Imagine you were the Happy Prince looking down on the world below. What kind of things might you be able to see, hear, smell and feel? Create a spider diagram or list your ideas e.g. the bustling streets below, the smell of fresh bread from the bakery filled the air, the sun reflected on the beautiful fountain which glistened like a diamond. Record as many ideas as you can! You will need to use your imagination.

Maths – Watch these two videos and then use them to answer the questions below. Take your time and think carefully about how you will need to solve them.

PE – design your own Joe Wicks style workout for your siblings or grown ups. Which exercises will you choose?

PSHE – Over the last few weeks, we have learnt the importance of lots of different jobs to help keep us safe. At the moment, key workers such as doctors, nurses, refuse collectors, postal workers, care workers, fire fighters, shop assistants, police officers and many more are going out to work to keep us safe. Research some of the jobs that these key workers do. Why are their jobs important? Would you like to do any of these jobs when you are older? If there are key workers in your family you could interview to find out more about what they do and how they feel at this time. Use the information you find out to either make a poster for your window or write a thank you letter to a key worker.

Have a great day!
