Good morning Year 5. I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine over the last few days. We can hope that it returns soon.
Here are your home learning tasks for today.
English and Topic- Today I would like you to conduct some research about Evacuation during WW2. Could you try and answer the following questions?
1. What was evacuation?
2. Why was it needed?
3. Where were children evacuated from and to?
4. How many children were evacuated in September 1939? Why did they briefly return?
5. What were the advantages and disadvantages of being an evacuee?
6. How would life in the country be different to life in the city?
Remember that you can use Purple Mash to email me your answers. I have sent you all a PowerPoint to give you a start with your research.
Maths- Over the next few days, we are going to look at how using the inverse operation can help us.
