Working together, learning together

Welcome

Year 6 Home Learning Week 2 Friday 3rd April

Well it’s Friday again!

Here’s your work for today.

English – log onto spelling shed today and practise your key vocabulary for Y5/6. Who will make it to the top of the leaderboard? Will it be Mrs McCall?

Science – Yesterday you looked at features of animals and were thinking of different animals that could be classified (grouped) with that feature.

Look at this duck-billed platypus and his features! What sort of animal is it?

Is it a bird? It has a beak!

Is it a mammal? It feeds it’s young milk!

Is it a reptile? It lays eggs!

Do some research and find out what type of creature it really is.

Now invent a curious creature of your own. Draw and label a diagram like the platypus. Ask a parent to photograph it and post it onto FB for us all to see.

French –

My favourite country to visit is France

The countries are all written in French. Identify which countries are the neighbours of France. Have you ever visited any of the countries on the map?

Research which other countries in the world speak in French. You can add your answers in the comments

Enjoy the weekend. I may see some of you next week
