Year 5 VE Day
Hello Year 5!
As today should be a very sunny bank holiday to celebrate VE Day, I will not be setting you our usual English and Maths work.
Today I would like you to try and complete the following.
1. There are lots of very famous war time songs. Could you try and learn one today? You could ask your family members to learn it with you.
2. The people in Great Britain would have been feeling very thankful that the war in Europe was over. What are you thankful for? You could write this down or explain it to one of your family members.
3. Enjoy the sunshine with your family. Make sure you wear sun cream, a sun hat and eat lots of ice cream to help cool you down!
Remember that you can ask one of your adults to send us photographs of your celebrations over Facebook!
