Year 5 Scientists
This week we planned and conducted a science investigation to find out which materials were the best insulators. We planned our investigations independently using the equipment we were given. We had to think carefully about how to make our investigation fair to make sure our results were accurate and reliable. We used different materials to cover containers which were filled with ice cubes. Then we used thermometers to test the temperature inside the container over time.
We have also been having fun in maths learning all about area and perimeter. We have learnt lots of new vocabulary to help us explain our answers to the class.
