Welcome

Pantomime Fun in Year 5!

We have had a really busy week this week in Year 5!

In DT, we have started to build our automata models. We measured, cut and glued pieces of cardboard to create the frame. We had to make sure that our measurements were accurate so that our frame was straight and sturdy.

In English, we have enjoyed writing newspaper reports about the 9/11 memorial in New York City. We made sure to include lots of facts about the memorial to inform our reader.

On Friday afternoon, we watched a virtual pantomime of Jack and the Beanstalk. It was really funny and we loved watching it.It was just like being at the theatre and we joined in with chants and silly songs.

Year 5

Here are some questions you could ask your child this week:

  • What was your favourite part of the pantomime?
  • What is the memorial in New York City?
  • What is an irreversible change?

Have a great weekend!

Miss Grey
