Good morning Year 1.
Phonics -This week we are practising the different code for /igh/. We have learnt /igh/ as in knight, /ie/ as in pie, /y/ as in cry and /i/ as in find. Today’s code is a split digraph /i_e/ as in bike. Make a word list with the split digraph in, for example ice, nice, price.

English – I would like you to think of another thing that dogs like to do. What other problems could George face? I know my dog struggles to bark at the door, eat my slippers and sleep on my bed. Maths – Building on our learning from yesterday we are looking at how to compare time. Try the problems below:
PSHE – In the book George does lots of things that get him in to trouble. Talk to an adult about the following questions:
- What does it mean to be good?
- How does George try to apologise?
- Have you ever done something that you shouldn’t of?
- How can we apologise when we have done something that might upset someone else?
