Welcome

Year 6 Home Learning Friday 15th May

Happy Friday everyone!

I hope you have all had a good week. Has anyone made anything at home this week?

You could have:

  • baked cakes/biscuits/scones
  • created a work of art
  • planted/grown some seeds
  • prepared a sandwich for lunch
  • cooked the tea
  • created a birthday card

If you have remember to let me know, I love seeing what you’ve been up to at home. Tell me in the comments or get an adult to email school or send a photo to our Facebook page.

English – I want you to make a list of words/phrases to describe this photograph. Remember to use your senses – what can you see? hear? smell? feel? taste? Look closely … what is on the right hand side? what is in the middle? Keep your list safe as you will need it next week. You could even put your list in the comments so I can see your amazing ideas.

Maths – Last day of adding fractions today. Bit of a challenge, adding mixed numbers. Can you remember what a mixed number is?

Look at the diagrams and how they can help you add the mixed numbers if you need it to help you.

Try these for yourself. Draw the diagrams if it helps you.

A little harder for these!

Now the final challenge – an addition pyramid – remember you can draw diagrams to help you if you need to

Computing – Go to this website – type it into google.

https://code.org/minecraft

Yes, Mrs McCall is asking you to do Minecraft in computing!!! Have fun. Let me know how you get on

Remember to finish your Air raid shelter from Wednesday and your artist research from yesterday.
