Hello Year 1 and welcome to the first day of May.
English – Today I would like you to write a letter to a loved one. This could be someone in your home or a friend or family member living somewhere else. People may be feeling sad, lonely or scared during the Covid-19 lockdown and would probably love a letter to make them feel better. You could write to tell them a nice story, give them advice or just to chat about what you have been doing. Once you’ve finished your letter why don’t you add some pictures and then deliver it to your loved one.
Maths – Try to solve these problems for odd and even numbers or play this odd and even game.
Phonics – Practise the codes /t/ and /ed/. Remember the /ed/ ending has two different ways to say it. We use /ed/ to show something is in the past. Practise adding /ed/ on to the end of words when writing your letter.
